EYES ON THE ARCTIC: We need your help to create a unique art piece at the North Pole

This April, a team of young explorers, activists and storytellers will launch an expedition to the North Pole to declare this region protected for those who live there and all life on Earth.

We’d like to invite you to join us on this epic journey by getting involved in the largest participatory art project in the world: INSIDE OUT . We are working with the Inside Out project, launched by the artist JR, to create an extraordinary image made up of your faces, to take with us on the expedition.

All we need is your portrait and we’ll do the rest...

Photo instructions: Photograph yourself, or get someone to photograph you, in front of a plain white background. Look up and think about the magic and mystery of the far North. Portraits must be of your face, no additional body parts. No pets or disguises.

Only one person per portrait, and each one must be submitted with that person's contact details.

Inside Out is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. Everyone is challenged to use black and white photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share the untold stories and images of people around the world. It is a creation of the artist JR, recipient of the 2011 TED Prize (watch JR's TED talk here).
